Mandate
To manage and mobilize the financial resources of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) in keeping with the THA Financial Rules, Exchequer and Audit Act, financial regulations and instructions, circulars and other statues as are required by the Assembly.
The Director of Finance is also responsible for monitoring and the annual reporting of the financial position of the Assembly, in keeping with Section 45 of the Tobago House of Assembly Act No. 40 of 1996, Chapter 25:03.
The incumbent is the Assembly’s advisor on accounting matters and provides support to the Chief Administrator in the execution of duties as the Accounting Officer of the Assembly.
Supervisory duties of the Director include the regulation of the Budgets Department, Final Accounts Revenue and Reconciliation Department, Accounts Monitoring Officers and the Data Processing Unit of the Division of Finance and the Economy.
